The Purpose

Let us recover all the insights buried deep in your organization's institutional memory.

Born to DIG

Cleanslating® was born to address the reality that the volume of data available often goes under-utilized because of time constraints and the skills required to extract relevant insights.

We recognize that a vast amount of rich data and insights is typically sitting untapped in the digital library of our clients. Often times new research is commissioned without a review of what is already known about the issue from previous research.

We give our clients the opportunity to approach problem-solving with a clean slate, dispelling any false assumptions or myths, and laying the facts on the table.

Cleanslating® stops you from spending money on repetitive research by finding and recovering the relevant data that helps frame the problem at hand.

Get to the root of the real issue to be solved and move your organization forward.

Wipe the slates CLEAN

Your business "slates" are piled high - with data, preconceived notions, belief systems and hypotheses. These slates may be muddied and actually contain misinformation.

Knowledge may be blocked by the desire to solve a problem quickly rather than identify what problem really exists, resulting in "mind lock."

The danger is that business leaders may hold on to fixed ideas and old patterns, and will not apply all the facts available when approaching a new challenge.

Clean your slates to improve your understanding of the problem and become a more confident decision maker.

Go SLOW to Improve Decision Making

Survival of the fittest, not the fastest

"Slow Thinking” requires deliberate thought and detailed gathering of information and analysis. It’s about due diligence and doing your homework. It’s decision-making backed by substance, not seat-of-the-pants impulse.

Cleanslating® highlights the paradox that slow can actually produce faster, more productive results.

Studies have proven that people think more creatively when they are calm and free from stress. That’s why our best ideas come to us when we’re not trying to think of them. Think about the bright ideas that pop into your mind when you're in the shower!

Slow is the new fast

Daniel Kahneman, Nobel prize winner and author of Thinking, Fast and Slow, discovered that our brains have two systems of thinking – a fast one and a slow one. He argues that human beings are not blank slates, we have biases that influence our decisions without the fullness of information. Many times we make mistakes as a result by relying on our gut instinct, or "Fast Thinking".

"Slow Thinking" improves the likelihood of making optimal decisions.

Cleanslating® was built on the "Slow Thinking" premise. It involves both a disciplined process and an analytical framework for creative problem-solving.

Slow balanced with agility

Agile means being swift, alert, bright, and quick-thinking. However, this swiftness needs to be balanced with the right deceleration. Did you know that some of the Great Thinkers of our time (Galileo, Einstein) valued slowing down the mind and daydreaming?

It’s the deceleration of the mind that produces our best thinking, not what we naturally think of as the best way to think (i.e. think fast, the adrenaline rush).

Cleanslating® acts as this deceleration process because it does the deliberate, analytical background analysis so you can be agile in your decision-making about the next step forward.
